The Interview Process
We understand that interviewing can be a bit stressful, so we've invested in creating an experience that gives you ample opportunity to showcase your talents and potential. Here's a detailed look at our interview process:
Initial Application Review: Our recruiting team carefully reviews your application and resume.
Recruiter Screen (30-45 minutes):
- You'll have an initial conversation with one of our recruiters.
- We'll get to know you better, discuss your background, and understand your interest in Lightspark.
- We'll provide more details about the role and our company culture.
- This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if Lightspark is the right fit for you.
Hiring Manager Interview (30-45 minutes):
- You'll meet with the person directly overseeing the position you're applying for.
- We'll delve deeper into your technical skills and professional experience.
- You'll learn more about the specifics of the role, team dynamics, and the impact you can make at Lightspark.
- This interview is crucial for understanding how your expertise aligns with our goals and how you can contribute to our innovative projects and team culture.
Onsite Interviews (typically four to six 1:1 interviews): You'll spend a day or part of a day at the Lightspark offices meeting with various team members. This stage includes a mix of technical and competency-based interviews, tailored to the role you're applying for.
For Technical Roles (45 minutes per interview):
- Participate in coding exercises and technical problem-solving sessions.
- Discuss your past projects and technical expertise.
- Demonstrate your coding proficiency and problem-solving abilities.
- Show how you approach complex challenges and collaborate with others to find innovative solutions.
For Business Roles (Legal, Finance, People, Marketing, etc.) (30-45 minutes per interview):
- Engage in conversations focused on your professional experience and strategic thinking.
- Explore how you handle different business scenarios.
- Discuss your skills in areas such as project management, communication, and leadership.
- Show how you can contribute to our culture and help drive our mission forward.
Additional Assessments:
- In some cases, we may include additional assessments, such as a Roundtable discussion on a specific topic, a presentation, or a case study.
- These help us assess how you might operate in the role itself.
Throughout the onsite interviews, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about Lightspark, our team dynamics, and our vision for the future. This is your chance to see if Lightspark is the right place for you and to showcase how you can be a valuable addition to our team.
Our Commitment to You
We strive to keep our process as efficient as possible, typically completing all stages within a few weeks. However, for some specialized roles, we may need to add extra interviews or assessments. Rest assured, we'll always keep you informed if this is the case.
